Why we built Randol
Twenty-five years of building platforms for organisations of every size taught us one thing: the gap between a simple idea and a secure, working capability is almost always bigger than anyone expects. Randol is what we built to close that gap, without anyone losing control.
Twenty-five years of learning what enterprises really need
Before Randol, our careers were spent working inside organisations of every size, from small, ambitious teams to some of the largest enterprises in the world. Across those twenty-five years, our role kept coming back to the same three things.
Build flexible platforms
Clean, well-designed APIs that let organisations reuse what they'd already built, innovate freely, and move independently of any single vendor or team.
Introduce the latest technology
Bring new tools, patterns and capability into organisations that couldn't always justify the time or risk of exploring them alone.
Build confidence through security
Give leadership teams the confidence to move forward, knowing new capability was built on best-practice security from day one.
Those three areas of engagement, repeated across dozens of organisations, are what led us to build Randol.
Simple, secure endpoints change what's possible
We've always believed that clean interfaces start with an API-first approach. Simple, usable and secure endpoints unlock enormous value, they're what let one team's work become another team's building block, and what let a good idea turn into something real without months of integration work.
But that belief has evolved. The new world isn't just about building simple APIs anymore. It's about exposing agent tools, and the agents themselves, in secure, best-practice ways, so organisations stay visible and relevant to the agents their customers, employees and partners now use, without giving up security or control.
A well-designed API doesn't just expose a system. It changes how fast an organisation can move.
The world is changing how it engages with business
The world is turning toward agentic solutions, and new behaviours are emerging fast, in how customers, employees, collaborators and partners expect to interact with the organisations around them. We felt it was the right moment to bring what we'd learned into a platform built for that shift.
Agentic change is accelerating, and not everyone is ready
As agentic ways of working accelerate, there's a real risk that many businesses get left behind. Building new capability is often a struggle for larger, more established organisations weighed down by legacy systems, and it can simply be too expensive for smaller organisations to justify at all.
Randol exists to close that gap: a platform for connection that still helps organisations maintain control and insulation over what they expose, and how.
Insulation matters most in volatile times
We're living through one of the most volatile periods of technology evolution most of us will see, new models, protocols and patterns emerging every week and month. Many organisations are feeling real AI fatigue, and simply knowing where to start has become a genuinely cloudy decision.
Taking the risk out of moving forward
So we built a platform that takes the risk out of moving forward, insulating the capabilities you rely on from the constant churn happening around them.
You can adapt without the investment you once needed
Because building new capability with Randol is faster and needs far less investment than it once did, we believe every organisation, large or small, can take these steps and adapt as the world moves, without the large, long-winded investments that used to be the price of entry.
Make your organisation agent-accessible. Without losing control.
Why we do this
We started Randol because we've spent twenty-five years watching good organisations get stuck, not for lack of ambition, but because building the foundations was always too slow, too risky, or too expensive.
We built the platform we wish had existed for every organisation we've ever worked with.
